Green Bean Casserole


This is the recipe that everyone always requests for Thanksgiving. I will occasionally make it for anytime.

6 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 can  Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup  milk
1 teaspoon  soy sauce
Dash ground black pepper
4 cups cooked cut green beans
1 can mushrooms
1 1/3 cups French Fried Onions
Stir the soup, bacon, mushrooms, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, beans and 2/3 cup onions in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
 Bake at 350°F. for 25 minutes or until the bean mixture is hot and bubbling.  Stir the bean mixture.  Sprinkle with the remaining onions.
 Bake for 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.

Sweet Potato Casserole


Ingredients:

  • 3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • .
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

 

Preparation:

Combine first 6 ingredients. Pour into a buttered 1 1/2 to 2-quart casserole dish.  Mix remaining ingredients together and sprinkle over top. Bake at  350° for 30 to 40 minutes, until hot and browned.  Serves 6 to 8.
