Breakfast Omelet


Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 3 slices of ham chopped
  • 1 can mushrooms
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • salt, pepper and garlic to taste
  • sour cream
  1. Melt butter in a frying pan. Saute onions, ham and mushrooms until onions soften. Add salt, pepper or garlic as needed. Remove from the pan.
  2. Beat eggs and add a couple tablespoons of cold water. Pour into frying pan and cover with a lid. Cook on medium heat. Check occasionally.
  3. When eggs are mostly set, add the cheese and cover.
  4. When cheese is melted, add 1/2 of the onion, ham and mushroom mixture on top. Cover and heat for one minute.
  5. Fold one half of the omelet  over and remove from the frying pan. Top with the rest of the onion, ham and mushrooms and a dollop of sour cream.
  6. Enjoy!
